Biberius Roble, Ribera del Duero DO, Bodegas Comenge
Biberius Roble, Ribera del Duero DO, Bodegas Comenge
Biberius is a fun wine. It shows a bright purple colour and has an intense aroma of cherries, raspberries, blueberries, elderberries with an underlying sweetness. The brief period in oak offers a broad set of fruity notes and of vanilla, chocolate and caramel. To taste the wine has a juicy acidity, fine tannins and medium body which all balance well despite its youth. Intense flavours of red fruit and aromas of the oak persist but also aromas of scrub and liquorice, giving the wine an excellent complexity and roundness. Wonderful chocolate notes.
