Feudo di Mezzo is the 2nd Cru from Cusumano's Alta Mora Estate in Castiglione di Sicilia. This shows crazy aromas of blueberry, jasmine, elderberries, minerals and nutmeg. Medium-bodied with lots of crunchy black fruit, zesty acidity, fine, lithe tannins and a fruity finish.

Vinification:

Nerello Mascalese grapes for Feudo di Mezzo come from 2 hectares of free standing vines on Etna in the Alta Mora Estate, located 650 metres above sea level. Some of the vines are 80 years of age. The grapes are harvested in boxes late October, destemmed and gently pressed on arrival at the winery. Maceration for 18 - 21 days at 28 degrees celsius followed by ageing in casks and 25hl barrels.
