I always love Alto Adige wines, and this one wasn't about to disappoint. The description notes say it's a wine with a 'soft body and elegant fullness', which is a nice way of putting it, although for me and my son, we thought the flavour was more like a kind of pear - I didn't pick up gooseberries at all. What I especially like about Italian Sauvignon Blanc in general is that it isn't citrusy, like the French equivalent tends to be. The first muthful is fruity, but the finish is dry and clean. |
