Grape Varieties :
Trebbiano di Lugana
Produced only from carefully selected grapes and only in the best vintages.
The Trebbiano di Lugana grapes are carefully selected in the last ten days of September whereupon they are placed in wooden cases to 'raisin' (dry) until the early part of the following year whereupon they are pressed and vinified.
Fermentation of the grapes takes place initially in stainless steel tanks for 3 to 4 days followed by 30 to 40 days in new French oak barrels. The wine is then aged for 12 to 15 months new oak barrels, then transferred to 1 to 2 months in stainless steel barrels and then finally bottled.
