Corte alla Flora

Relatively young by Tuscan standards, Corte alla Flora has made an immediate impact in this historic wine growing region by producing excellent Vino Nobile di Montepulciano to international acclaim. The estate was founded by the Cragnotti family in 1988 and has 37 hectares under vine, planted with various clones of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Attention to detail is key here so the vines are cultivated using modern viticultural techniques; a maximum of 5,200 vines per hectare, spur cordon training systems and various interventions throughout the growing period, such as green harvesting. The recently completed Corte alla Flora farmhouse includes a modern winery with state of the art technology and a cellar housing 50 and 225 hectolitre
